Community Manager (Voluntary):

Creatives Hub exists to help creatives get rid of the shackles of procrastination, break out of fear, grow in confidence and get stuff done.

We know what it’s like trying to be creative all by yourself. It’s tough. You get stuck, writer’s block, disheartened, discouraged. If you’re self-employed, the feeling of isolation and disconnection can be doubled. How can you move forward?

Enter Creatives Hub: We want to help you overcome blocks like doubt, fear and procrastination. We want you to feel alive, inspired and motivated to bring your creativity to life. We want to help you create your best work, develop your great ideas and generally make the world a better place.

We do this through our exciting, challenging and action-orientated monthly accountability groups where we have seen great progress by members able to make their ideas happen; our quarterly Creatives Hub Live! events give a wider audience the opportunity to get a taste of what happens in our mini-hubs.

We create podcasts, listened to by thousands of creatives, and produce our monthly Curious newsletter which delivers monthly doses of inspiration straight into your inbox. All of this is held together by our website which has featured regular bloggers and now needs to be built on.

The role

We are after a community manager to be the face of our community, promoting our groups and members and continuing to build on the strong relationships already in place. You will be the first port of call, adding value to our hubbers and serving them in a cheerful manner.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into community or social media management for a company but hasn’t got the experience as yet. A great thing to add to your CV!

It will require one to two days per week initially -though this is flexible for the right person.

About you

You will:

  • love getting your hands dirty writing content and posting to social media channels
  • create, plan and manage our monthly ‘curious’ newsletter, promotions and social media campaigns
  • connect with other bloggers and creatives, planning and scheduling regular guest blog posts and content for all our channels
  • enjoy getting to know our communities on each platform and being the face of the community, starting and moderating conversations and generating healthy debate amongst our mini-hubs as well as our wider network
  • help to create, plan and execute our monthly events
  • have a strong hand in recruiting new members to the community, welcoming them –and being the first port of call for all our members
  • have a natural affinity –and no doubt strong opinions, on the latest social media/communications developments and be able to harness them effectively to build up the community
  • enjoy identifying and then building relationships with other like-minded organisations that help us achieve our mission
  • report on agreed key stats each month, to view progress
